Why is the Visu-Template of the 8th expansion stage packed as a zip file?
From the 8th expansion stage, the Visu-Templates are only offered for download as a Zip file.

The following is contained in each zip file.

CodesysIDE_8.2.19.2.0.installation-config
JUMO variTRON300 Visu-Template.431 (for example)
The 'installation-config' file creates an exact development environment and is required for smooth working with the PLC project.
As the installation-config file of version 8.2.19.2.0 is contained in all three zip files and is identical, only one installation with the installation-config file is required for the CODESYS Installer.
It is therefore recommended to choose a unique name when installing a new CODESYS version, e.g. CodesysIDE_8.2.19.2.0.
