How can I set up a role?

Creating a role

A role combines a number of individual rights. The individual rights are described here :

In the following example, a role is created with the rights for alarm acknowledgement in the WebCockpit.You can access user management via Service → User management.

You can create a new role using the Roles tab and the button :c\Users\Serdar.Atla\Pictures\JUMO\:.en.

A name for the new role can be entered in the input window under Name. Under Right, the rights from List are copied to the available rights and added here.
In our case, the rights for the WebCockpit (WebUi) and the right for the alarm acknowledgement (AlarmAcknowledgement) are added via the Add button. The new role is saved by pressing Save.

Editing/deleting roles

If you click on the required role :No1: this opens up. Now the role either be deleted completely :No2: or edited :No3: .

In edit mode :No1: , individual rights can be deleted :No2: or new ones added :No3: in the role.

All changes in the user management are made only in the variTRON! Only by reading the user management of the variTRON with JUMO smartWARE Setup are the changes also available in the project.
