What time is used during data recording in JUMO variTRON and how is the time displayed in JUMO smartWARE Evaluation?

All process data is recorded by JUMO variTRON in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). In addition, JUMO variTRON informs JUMO smartWARE Evaluation of its time zone. This means that the recorded data is always independent from the time zone and JUMO variTRON can be configured as desired.

The recorded data is then converted into the time zone that the browser used specifies in JUMO smartWARE Evaluation. The user normally sees the process data with a date/time stamp in their own time zone – provided that the browser is appropriately configured. If required, the time zone can be changed in the browser.

There is no central time zone setting in JUMO smartWARE Evaluation.

There is one exception:
The batch start and stop in the time zone of the JUMO variTRON are displayed in the batch list. The reason for this is that you can more easily allocate the batch to the recorded process data on-site.
