Evaluation time ranges

The period of time available for evaluating the process data is specified in the evaluation time range.

A global time range can be defined that is valid for all device spaces. An individual time range can also be defined for each device space, which overwrites the global time range.

In this example, the warm data range is set to one month. Dashboards that are created for a device space can access preloaded process data (warm data) from the set period of time.

What are warm data, cold data and frozen data?

  • "Warm data" is process data that is available for quick evaluation. Warm data requires more disk space than cold data.

  • "Cold data" is existing process data that first has to be converted into warm data for visualization.

  • "Frozen data" is archived process data.

If the warm data range of the device space is set to "monthly" and the time range of the dashboard is set to "daily", fast daily evaluation for the previous month is possible, without having to load the process data beforehand.

If a time range more than one month in the past is to be analyzed, JUMO smartWARE Evaluation automatically loads the relevant data record (cold data) and transfers it to the warm data range. After a short time, it is also available for evaluation.

JUMO smartWARE Evaluation uses the warm data range to enable fast process data evaluation and prevent the loading of older process data that is not required (cold data).
