What time (Local time, Universal time or RTC time) is used for data recording in the variTRON system and what is the time representation in the smartWARE evaluation?
All process data is recorded by the variTRON system in UTC.
The variTRON informs the smartWARE of its additional time zone.
This means that the recorded data is independent of the time zone and the vaiTRON system can be configured as desired.
In the evaluation, the recorded data is then converted into the time zone specified by the BROWSER used!
The customer usually sees the process data with date/time stamps in their own time zone (i.e. if the browser is set accordingly).
It can also change the time zone in the browser, if necessary.
There is no central time zone setting in the smartWARE evaluation.
However, there is one exception: In the batch list, the start and stop of the batch are displayed in the time zone of the variTRON.
The background here is that the batch can be assigned more easily to the recorded process data on site.
